Privacy Policy

Strong Presence Method

Effective date: 2026-10-18

This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.

Information we process

Strong Presence Method stores the habits you create, their categories and schedules, completion dates, challenge progress, read-article markers and journal reflections on your device. These records are also sent to our backend when synchronization is available. The backend stores an automatically generated installation identifier, a hash of your installation secret, a creation time, a state revision and your synchronized records in a SQLite database on a persistent Railway volume. The secret itself stays in your device Keychain and authorizes requests. Your optional profile name, theme and reminder time stay in device preferences and are not included in synchronization. Requests to the API and this public website necessarily disclose network information such as your IP address and request metadata to Railway. The service temporarily uses a network address for installation-creation rate limits.

How we use information

We use your records to display your daily practice, habit history, journal, reading status and program progress, and to keep this installation synchronized after offline use. The installation secret prevents other installations from accessing your records. Network information supports request delivery, security, troubleshooting and rate limiting. Local notification settings are used only to schedule a reminder on your device. Public articles and challenges are editorial content; they are not personalized advertising.

Service providers and sharing

The application backend and public policy are hosted by Railway, which processes requests and stores the service database as our infrastructure provider. Railway may process infrastructure and operational logs containing request metadata. Application error logs contain a request identifier and technical error message; the application does not intentionally log authorization secrets or reflection text. There are no advertising, analytics, social login, email-delivery or third-party tracking SDKs in the app. We do not sell personal data. Data may be disclosed if legally required. If you voluntarily email the privacy contact, that correspondence is handled by the email service used for that address; the app itself sends no email.

Data retention

Local records remain until you delete them using the app or remove the application data. The local record file and preferences may be included in device backups according to your iOS backup settings; this app does not control those backup copies. The device-only Keychain secret is not intended to migrate to another device. Keychain items can survive an app uninstall, so uninstalling alone is not a server deletion request. The live server database retains synchronized records until you use Delete all my data with the installation secret. We have not configured an application backup schedule or a separate fixed retention period. Any infrastructure logs or provider-managed backup copies are subject to Railway operations and retention; no exact provider retention period is promised here. Deleted data may persist in infrastructure backups until those copies expire and is not intended to be restored as active user data.

Deleting your information

In Profile & Settings, Delete all my data removes this installation and its records from the live server database, invalidates its secret, clears local records and profile preferences, and cancels scheduled reminders. This operation requires a working network connection when a secret exists; a failed server request preserves the local records and secret so you can retry. Deleting an individual habit or reflection is synchronized on the next successful connection. Server deletion cannot erase copies you independently saved or provider backups immediately. There is no login or recovery service: losing the installation secret means we cannot automatically identify or recover your records. Contact zenaida.fairchild@icloud.com for privacy questions or deletion assistance, without sending journal content or your secret by email.

Permissions and your choices

Notifications are optional. The app asks iOS for notification permission only when you turn on a daily reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally, without remote push tokens or a push notification provider. Turn the reminder off in the app or withdraw notification permission in iOS Settings. The app does not request access to location, maps, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or health data. Withdrawal of notification permission does not delete your saved practice records.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information and to raise a concern with a relevant authority. You can review and edit records in the app and delete them in Profile & Settings. For a privacy request, contact zenaida.fairchild@icloud.com. We may need enough information to verify a request, but do not email your installation secret or private reflection text. We do not maintain user accounts, so the contact email is not an account identifier and cannot recover a lost secret.

Security

The app communicates with the deployed service over HTTPS. The installation secret is generated using cryptographically random bytes, stored in the device Keychain with device-only accessibility and represented on the server by a SHA-256 hash. Private endpoints require the matching bearer secret and scope all records to that installation. Input validation, request limits and revision checks protect the live database. Local record files use iOS file protection. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security; anyone with access to your unlocked device or installation secret may access your records.

Children’s privacy

Strong Presence Method is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. The content is general educational self-development guidance, not medical treatment. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through this service, contact zenaida.fairchild@icloud.com so we can assess the request and available identification information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, infrastructure or data practices change. The effective date on this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the published policy and, when appropriate, the app. Please review this page periodically. Privacy questions can be sent to zenaida.fairchild@icloud.com.
